At Wise Words we love to repurpose old castoffs and find treasure in what other people might consider rubbish. We work with the tiniest budgets and the generosity of those who we have come to consider our Festival Family. If you can help with any of the things below or know someone who can please let us know.

This arch was made by our friends at the Just So Festival.
  • We need about 100 hardback books to make this beautiful arch to welcome people to our Meadow
  • Any old instruments, percussion, wind or string (to give children their first chance to experience creating music)
  • 100 fleece blankets (does anyone know a really cheap supplier)
  • Any old china cups and saucers & tea pots
  • Old Masonry Jars
  • 5 x pestle and mortars for children to make their own natural colours out of spices.
  • Glass milk bottles
  • Old Hats, Feather Boas and items of clothing suitable for the children’s dressing up boxes
  • Rag Rugs and cushions for the Bell Tents
  • Luggage label
  • Wooden Picture Frames (we only need the frames not the glass)
  • Lampshades (all shapes & sizes)
  • Flowers seeds
  • Lots of old wallpaper (any colours and designs)
  • Old arm-chairs
  • sheets of plywood
