Poetry for Wellbeing CPD | £20

A 2 day course | Saturday 16th and Saturday 23rd January | £20
Would you like to learn more about facilitating Poetry for Wellbeing sessions?

Are you interested in running workshops using creative writing and reading for health and wellbeing? Would you like to explore your practice and skills in a supportive environment – or if this work is new to you, find out more about the ways in which writing in groups can be beneficial?

Poetry Therapy is the intentional use of poetry for healing and personal growth. There’s a growing interest in the ways in which reading and expressive writing can help us to find meaning in life and especially its challenges. The practice includes reading as a way of locating our experience, and then writing in response.

We are delighted by how much participants enjoyed and gained from our Wise Words for Wellbeing Workshops and are exploring ways to expand this work. To support this ambition we are offering poets an opportunity to work with Victoria Field, a fully-approved Mentor-Supervisor for the International Federation for Biblio-Poetry Therapy, to talk about workshop techniques and how to plan, deliver and evaluate them, and explore potential concerns. A Certificate of Completion will be given to those who attend both sessions.

WHEN: 10:00 – 13:00 on Saturday 16th and Saturday 23rd January 2016
