Yurt

Music & Poetry | The Quinn Yurt | 13:00 - 14:00 | FREE

Come into our inner circle and enjoy some music and poetry in our beautiful yurt.

Poets and musicians have joined forces to bring you a unique blend of the best parts of their crafts. Blending talents and blurring lines on what these two genres are, the artists will work together to create twenty minute pieces combining the two art forms.

Neelam Saredia & Chris Guy

Neelam has worked with various art and community organisations across Kent including the Wise Words Festival, Nucleus Arts, Canterbury Festival, Lilford Gallery, People United and Jasmin Vardimon Company. She currently works at Gulbenkian, and is working with illustrators and musicians to create new collaborations.
Performing makes her feel taller than the 5 ft 1.5 inches that she is.

Chris is a composer, musician and playwright. He also teaches a bit and is writing the ‘The Beach Girl’ books. Chris plays music from his home country “Zhovrovia” a little known country in back water Europe, tucked away behind several other countries and just off centre of a lamp post. Chris and the rest of his compadres, “The Silent Companions” are the number one collective of multi-experimental musicians and what-have-you’s from their home country.
