Poetry Competition - Verse in Shop Windows
Each year we offer poets the chance write haiku length poems that will appear in windows and on poster within Canterbury’s busiest shopping centre.
Poems need to be inspired by a shop on the list below or by the experience of shopping.
- If you choose Echo it might be a poem about shoes that carry you through life’s rich tapestry of experiences
- If you choose HMV it might be remembering the first song you ever bought or the influence of music on your life.
- If you choose the more general shopping experience, it might be a poem about sharing coffee and catching up on gossip with friends or catching a glimpse of that stunning red dress that you know belongs on you rather than on that hanger!
