Volunteers Needed
This is a fantastic opportunity to see some great events, meet poets, authors, speakers and performers and work with our experienced team. Every year, the festival creates an amazing buzz around town and you can be part of it.
We are looking for volunteers to:
- Be the hosts of our Yurt and our Garden tent - inviting people in, offering tea, making sure the space is tidy and welcoming.
- Collect tickets and give out evaluation cards - managing the flow of people as they enter and leave the venue and encouraging people to fill out evaluation cards.
- Sell tickets and merchandise - This year for the first time we will have a little table with books and some merchandise.
- Help us manage the space - Look after the installations around the gardens and make sure the space remains safe, clean and welcoming.
We are a very small team and value the support of our volunteers tremendously. Where possible we will put you in a position where you can attend the events you most want to see whilst volunteering and depending on the amount of time you are able to support, we will also give you some complimentary tickets to other events.
It is much easier for us if we can work with a few people who are able to help out for a few shifts across the festival rather than lots of people doing one or two hours so if you are able to commit to a few shifts it would be wonderful.
The shifts:
Friday 12th, Saturday 13th, Sunday 14th and Monday 15th
- 09:00 - 14:00
- 14:00 - 18:00
- 18:00 - 22:00
Friday 19th, Saturday 20th, Sunday 21st
- 09:00 - 14:00
- 14:00 - 18:00
- 18:00 - 22:00
Monday 22nd
Help us de-install and pack up the site until the spring!
We will provide you with a T-shirt whilst for whilst you are volunteering.
