Intro to Improv for Kids (aged 6-10) | Learn to make up scenes and tell stories without a script! | 11am - 12pm

You won’t be sitting still for long in this active and exciting workshop. It is aimed at allowing young people to explore their vibrant imaginations and build upon each others ideas to create scenes and stories entirely made up on the spot. Suitable for all regardless of experience or shyness level. In fact, with it’s supportive and collaborative atmosphere improv is a great way for quieter children to engage their creative voice and express their ideas.

About Lucy:

Lucy thinks she might have always been an improviser – she’s been ‘making it up’ since 1986 and has the home videos to prove it. Today she is an Improviser, actor and teacher and is evangelical about the creative and personal benefits of saying ‘yes and…’ in life. Lucy used to be an English teacher but is now the director of Improv4 and teaches Improv to Primary and Secondary school children as well as students at Christchurch and Kent University and even to trainee doctors.

Lucy regularly performs as a member of Schtum, a silent Improv show, Upstairs Downton and Impromptu Shakespeare, with whom she performed at the Edinburgh Festival last year.
