Say yes to play! | An Improv workshop for parents and their children aged 2-5 years old | 09:30 - 10:30

In this workshop we invite you to use the improv philosophy of ‘Yes and’ to agree and join in with your child’s imaginative explorations. Using fun and lively improv games, we will conjure up scenes and build realities together whilst encouraging your child’s confidence, communication and listening skills.

Lucy thinks she might have always been an improviser - she’s been ‘making it up’ since 1986 and has the home videos to prove it. Today she is an Improviser, actor and teacher and is evangelical about the creative and personal benefits of saying ‘yes and…’ in life. Lucy used to be an English teacher but is now the director of Improv4 and teaches Improv to Primary and Secondary school children as well as students at Christchurch and Kent University and even to trainee doctors.

Lucy regularly performs as a member of Schtum, a silent Improv show, Upstairs Downton and Impromptu Shakespeare, with whom she performed at the Edinburgh Festival last year.

Where: Greyfriars Franciscan Garden, entrance through black doors next to Greyfriars Lodge B&B (no 6) Stour Street, Canterbury

Tickets: Suggested donation £5 (for 1 adult + up to 2 children)

This amount would cover the cost of your place. It is important to us however that no one is excluded from an event for financial reasons and would therefore be grateful for any amount you feel comfortable giving.
