Come Along to a Fundraising Event…
We need to raise the required match funding in order to be release a grant from Arts Council England that will provide enough moeny for this year’s Wise Words to happen. With time running out we need your support.
There are many ways you could support us to achieve our goal, including coming along to one or more or our Fundraising Events.
A Feast of Words | 8th August - 19:30 | The Goods Shed Restaurant | £40
You are invited to join us for a delicious four course meal prepared by Rafael in his restaurant at the Goods Shed. Poems and food will be carefully chosen to complement each other throughout the evening. We are delighted that former Canterbury Laureate Sarah Salway and actor Adam De Ville have offered to entertain us with performances of beautiful, sometimes humorous and always food related verse.

A Children’s Book Swap | 15th August | The Veg Box Cafe | Donations
Bring the books that your children and have outgrown and swap them for ones they will enjoy.
A Poetry Picnic on the punts | 22nd August - 19:00 | Food from Patrick’s Kitchen | £25
Join us for a magical lantern lit punt ride along the Stour River. Patrick’s Kitchen will provide a scrumptious meal and poets will entertain, as we drift along enjoying the countryside and a glass or two of bubbles.
