2-14 High Street, Margate
Writing in a journal each morning can have a profoundly positive effect on our personal and creative growth as well as our emotional wellbeing.
Throughout his term as Canterbury’s Poet Laureate, John Siddique invites those interested in making journalling part of their everyday lives, to meet and write together and respond to a provocation. John will be in Kent in March, May and July and will come and share his experience of Journal writing with the group in person. When not here in person, John will send provocations to inspire each weeks journal writing session.
These will be very informal meet ups in the relaxed and welcoming setting of Bernie’s Chocolate Cafe.
No previous writing experience necessary just bring a notebook and a pen. Writing doesn’t have to be the predominant way you contribute to your journal – if you like to draw or take photographs then bring whatever you need.
We would love it if you could let us know if this interests you, just so that we can set up the space – but booking ahead is not essential.
WHEN: Every Sunday between 2-3 | Starting January 10th
WHERE: Bernies Chocolate Bar
TO BOOK: Email Amy Barnes | firstname.lastname@example.org
These sessions are FREE but we encourage you to thank the wonderful cafe that is hosting this event by buying a scrumptious hot chocolate, waffles or whatever takes your fancy!
Amy Barnes has very kindly offered to lead on the running of these sessions and is happy to answer any questions you ask by commenting below.
These weekly Journalling Sessions are produced by Wise Words and supported by Arts Council England.
